The adsorption of Trichloroethylene (TCE) vapors on both powder and pelletized MCM-48 was measured by using a quartz spring balance equipped in a high vacuum system. Single species equilibrium data show typical IV isotherms based on the IUPAC classification. Equilibrium data obtained were reasonably well fitted to a temperaturedependent hybrid (Langmuir+Sips) isotherm. To investigate the applicability of the hybrid isotherm on the prediction of breakthrough patterns, experimental and theoretical studies were carried out in a fixed bed charged with MCM-48.
