폐폴리에스터 올리고머 재활용을 위한 메탄올리시스 공정 특성 연구
A Methanolysis Process for Recycling Polyester Oligomer Waste
폴리에스터 합성공정에서 공정 피치로 방출되는 폐폴리에스터 올리고머 슬러지는 메탄올리시스 해중합 방법에 의하여 디메틸테레프탈레이트(DMT)와 에틸렌글리콜과 같은 원료물질로 재활용 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연속식 메탄올리시스 반응기에서 메탄올 공급량, 메탄올 순도, 반응 온도, 반응 압력, 촉매량 등의 변수들이 DMT 생성 수율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 메탄올 공급량이 많을수록 DMT 수율이 증가하고, 반응온도 250-260 ℃, 반응압력 3-6 기압에서 DMT 생성 수율이 최대가 되는 것으로 나타났다.
Oligomer sludges generated from polyester production line as polyester waste can be recycled to its constituent monomers, that is, dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol by methanolysis. We examined the effects of methanol feeding rate, methanol purity, reaction pressure, reaction temperature, and amount of catalyst on DMT production yield in the proposed continuous methanolysis reactor. DMT production yield increases with methanol feeding rate and shows a maximum at reaction temperature 250-260 ℃ and reaction pressure 3-6 atm.
