금속촉매를 이용한 물로부터 수소 제조
Hydrogen Production from Water by Metal Catalysts
활성탄을 환원제로 하는 금 속의 산화-환원에 의한 물로부터 수소 제조를 수행하였다. 이용한 금속은 Co, Ni, Fe, Cu, Cr, Pd, Zn 및 Mn이었으며, 온도에 따른 수소의 생성속도를 알아보기 위해서 미소 펄스 반응기에서 실험을 하였다. 그 결과 Co와 Ni이 좋은 금속임을 알 수 있었고, 600℃에서는 석탄기화의 반응계에서 좋은 촉매로 알려진 Na2CO3보다 더 높은 수소 생성량을 나타냈다.
Hydrogen was produced from water by redox cycle of metals using activated carbon as a reduc-tant. Several metals-Co, Ni, Fe, Cu, Pd, Zn and Mn-were used. In order to test the rate of hydrogen production according to temperature, a micropules reactor was used. As a result, it was found that Co and Ni were the best hydrogen producing metals among the metals tested. At 600℃, Co showed the better hydrogen production rate than Na2CO3 that was known as a good catalyst in coal gasification reaction.
