강재 가열로용 가스버너의 연소특성
Combustion Characteristics of the Gas Burner for Reheating Furnace
강제가열로용 가스버너의 연소특성 파악을 위하여 1단연소식과 2단영소식의 두 종류 가스버너에 대한 중간시험 규모의 연소실험을 수행하였다. 실험용 연료로는 상용 프로판과 질소의 혼합기를 사용하였다. 가열로 버너의 주류를 이루고 있는 1단연소식 버너의 제반 연소조건에 따른 화염 안정성, 화염형상, 화염부 온도, 연소가스 조성 등을 측정ㆍ분석하였고, 두 종류 버너의 연소성능을 상호 비교하였다. 1단연소식 버너 대비 2단연소식 버너는 NOx 발생량 저감과 열효율 향상에 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.
Pilot scale combustion experiments for two types of gas burner, namely 1-and 2-staged firing burners, were carried out to examine the combustion characteristics of the burners for reheating furnace. The mixture of commercial propane and nitrogen was used as the experimental fuel. For the 1-staged burner prevailing in reheating furnaces, flame stability, flame shape, temperature and flue gas composition were measured and analyzed over various experimental conditions. Performance comparison of the two types of burner was done, also. Compared with the 1-staged burner, the 2-staged burner was found to be effective in reducing NOx emission and in enhancing thermal efficiency.
