Effects of Influencing Parameters on the Electrode Performance in Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell
전극의 백금함량과 PTFE 함량 및 조작온도가 인산형 연료전지의 다공성 탄소전극 성능에 미치능 영향을 85wt% 인산전해질 중에서 반족전지 실험을 통하여 연구하였다. 전극의 백금 담지량이 5, 10, 15, 20wt%로 변함에 따라 Tafel 기울이기는 221, 176, 170, 145mV/decade로, 교환전류밀도는 1.866×10-7, 1.307×10-7, 9.206×10-8, 4.874×10-8A/cm2로 변하였다. 최적 PTFE 함량은 20-30wt%이었으며 전극반응의 겉보기 활성화에너지는 탄소적극 재료에 관계없이 평형전위에서 약 1100kJ/mol로 나타났다.
Effects of loading density of Pt and PTFE and operation temperature on the performance of carbon elec-trode were studied by a half cell in 85wt% phosphoric acid. As the Pt loading was varied to 5, 10, 15, and 20wt%, the Tafel slope was changed to 221, 176, 170, and 148mV/decade, respectively, and the exchange current density was changed to 1.866×10-7, 1.307×10-7, 9.206×10-8, and 4.874×10-8A/cm2, respectively. The optimum content of PTFE was found to be 20-30wt%, and the apparent activation energy of the cathode reaction was found to be approx-imately 110kJ/mol at the equilibrium potential, regardless of the electrode carbon materials.
