The Liquid-Liquid Equilibria for Acetonitrile-Water-Salt Systems
Acetonitrile-water혼합물에 염을 가할 때의 상분리 효과를 25℃ 대기압하에서 조사하였다. 혼합용액은 NaCl, KCl 또는 K2CO3의 염을 첨가하면 두 액상으로 분리되었고 그 상층 액상의 조성은 공비조성을 넘어섰다. 각 염에 대하여 이들 염을 포함한 acetonitrile-water salt삼성분계의 상호용해도와 액액평형치를 측정하고 tie-line data의 상관성 및 건전성을 Hirata, Campbell, Hand 및 Treybal의 plot와 logxs 대 logKs 및 logs 대 logks plot로 고찰하여 모든 관계가 직선이 잘 성립함을 알았다. 또한 Hand-Treybal plot와 logxs대 logxKs 및 logys대 logKs plot로 plait point에서의 조성을 구하였다. 염의 분배율과 물에 대한 염의 선택도를 통하여 상 분리 효과를 고찰한 결과 염의 농도가 커지면 분리효과가 증가하고 포화상태에서 최대가 되며, 포화상태에서는 염의 종류에 따라 Na2CO3, KCl, NaCl 및 K2CO3의 순으로 분리효과가 좋았다.
The salt effect of liquid-liquid equilibrium for the acetonitrile-water azeotropic mixture was studied at 25 ℃ and atmospheric pressure. Homogeneous acetonitrile-water mixture could be separated into two layers by the addition of salt such as NaCl, KCl, Na2CO3 and K2CO3. Particularly for the cases of NaCl, KCl and K2CO3 the upper layer composition shifted beyond the azeotropic composition. Mutual solubility and tie-line data were determined experimentally for ternary systems of acetonitrile-water-salt and the tie-line data were successfully correlated by using several known methods (Hirata, Campbell, Hand, Treybal) and modified plots (log xs vs. log Ks, log ys vs. log Ks). Plait points were also obtained from Hand-Treybal plots and modified plots. From the data of the distribution of salt and the selectivity of salt for water, it was found that the selectivity for the mixture was increased with increasing concentration of salt added and was maximum at its saturated state in the increasing order of Na2CO3, KCl, NaCl and K2CO3.
