Vapor liquid equilibrium data in acetic acid-methanol system which was accompanied by esterification reaction in steel section was study by the use of Othmer apparatus at 760 mm of mercury pressure.
The relations of equilibrium constants versus temperature and activity coefficients versus compositions was calculated from the measured data and the results was plotted to facilitate the evaluation of the equilibrium constants.
